At New Berlin Chiropractic & Therapy Center, we use only high quality digital imaging and have since 2009. We most recently upgraded our x-ray system in Summer of 2018. Digital radiology may represent the greatest technological advancement in medical imaging over the last decade. Images can be immediately acquired, deleted, modified, and subsequently sent to a network of computers.
The benefits from digital radiology are enormous. The referring physician can view the requested image on a desktop or a personal computer and manipulate the technical factors of the image to better identify any questionable findings, resulting in better patient safety and outcomes. The doctor is able to view the images just a few minutes after the examination was performed. The images can be seen simultaneously by physicians anywhere with internet access if a consult or second opinion is needed. In addition, the patient can have their x-ray images put on a compact disk for their own personal record or to take to another physician or hospital.
